Twenty-eight employees from Penfold Buscombe NSW took part in the annual JP Morgan Corporate Challenge 5.6km fun run in Sydney’s Centennial Park.

All proceeds from the race went to the "Cherish the Children Foundation" and in particular the NSW Shepherd Centre, which raises the quality of life for deaf children through teaching and medical expertise. "Cherish the Children Foundation" was founded by Patrick Rafter, the former world number one tennis player and two-time U.S. Open champion.

You certainly could not miss the Penfold Buscombe Team sporting a bright green; "Let's roll" tee shirt designed by Domenic from our Design studio.

The tactics used to complete the race varied dramatically. Dianne and Ross relied solely on the refined carbohydrates found only in Mars bars along the way. The accounts team (The Snails) settled in the at the back of the field waiting for everyone else to fall down (well it happened in the Olympics with Stephen Bradbury), some even tried a short cut across the park but were duly sent back by the marshals.

The first placed female was Louise Jones (Design) in 38 minutes, the first place male was Domenic Bartolo (Design) in 23 minutes and the fastest of the Over 35's was Greg Pollard (Bindery) in 24 minutes.

Penfold Buscombe also received an award for the most colourful t-shirt and was presented with an engraved crystal Tiffany & Co bowl that Pauline Boyle collected from Pat Rafter.
