STA Travel. A highly successful and recognisable travel company, STA TRAVEL has more than 120 branches around Australia and New Zealand.
Brief
Following the company's rapid growth there was a high degree of inefficiency in the process of print procurement. Problems included lack of coordination, a fragmented supplier base, an erosion of branding and corporate standards and cost inefficiencies.

Strategy
Penfold Buscombe undertook a complete and thorough audit and review of STA Travel's print requirements as well as what was in storage in the company's warehouses. With the information gathered, we set about devising new systems for print procurement which incorporated major cost and organisational savings, better quality controls and improved service.

Solution
A dedicated print management team was established to introduce a radical and innovative electronic management system to ensure both Penfold Buscombe and STA Travel could easily keep track of STA Travel's massive print requirements.

A stocktake of warehouse material was undertaken, a user manual on print procurement was prepared and new systems were established.
